• The most comfortable jumpsuit EVER styled 3 ways…

This jumpsuit was such a happy little surprise! I went into Lou and Gray for sweatpants (also awesome) and this jumpsuit was in the dressing room so I HAD to try it on. You guys… it is FLEECE on the inside. Talk about the most comfortable thing EVER. It is so adorable and flattering and can be styled so many ways! It all starts with this Lou & Gray Plush Crossover Jumpsuit!   Perfect daytime look for running all the errands, lunch out or heading to the office.   Gap Denim Jacket – A total classic. Since the jumpsuit is fleece on the inside you only need a light layer. J/Slides…

  • Baked French Toast (Gluten Free)

This recipe all started because I felt insanely wasteful throwing away the heels of a loaf of bread (usually 4 pieces!) because no one would eat them. The end of a gluten free sandwich loaf if not like scoring the end of a French baguette after all (yes, I miss a French baguette!). So I started saving the heels in the freezer… what could I make? A baked French toast seemed perfect! Honestly, you can just buy a loaf and use that… but I am saving my heels for this recipe! This recipe is written for gluten free bread which absorbs liquid differently than traditional wheat bread, if you want…

  • Small Business Spotlight: Everwell

I joined a playgroup when my first born was about two months old. Little did I know that I would meet women that would become life long (amazing, supportive, exceptional) friends. I went to the first meeting of the playgroup and the first person I met was Lindsay Hurty.  She was warm, had a kind face and asked all the right questions with a sweet enthusiasm. I met Abby Knott at our next gathering which she held at her home. Abby was so welcoming, collected and amazingly at ease for a mom of two kids under 2.  Our friendships cemented quickly. It came with little surprise when they told me…

  • Tahini Dressing

A little magic tahini salad dressing to start the weekend off right. Today I’m heading out for a long weekend on a girl’s trip (how lucky am I? More on the trip later!) so I thought I’d stock the fridge/freezer up a bit for my family.  So besides ice cream, hamburgers and other treats I have our favorite Easy Chicken Parmesan and Pork Ragù ready to be reheated along with loads of fresh lettuce and this dressing. What’s an easier vegetable side than a salad? Not much. Throw in some cucumber, chopped tomatoes and an avocado and you are good to go. I nailed down the recipe for this tahini…

  • Fall Fashion: Leopard

Leopard is everywhere! And for good reason… it is basically a neutral in my book. A friend and I were just talking about how leopard is THE print for Fall. And good news;  you have so many options out there to add a little or a lot to your look. Even better news is that options seem to come in all price points… I mean just in case you don’t want to really invest in a leopard coat (but there are a few REALLY chic ones!)… but mark my words, leopard print isn’t going anywhere! (And, yes, #17 may be technically a “cheetah print” but who cares!) Find my picks below!…

  • Chicken & Sweet Potato Chili

Fall is here despite what the temperature outside may be! I am ready for super easy, delicious & warming dinners. In comes my best kitchen gadget, the Instant Pot.  This genius little appliance makes quick work of 5 ingredients (yes FIVE! Okay, 6 with the bay leaf… and salt and pepper just don’t count!) and puts a chili on your table in about an hour start to finish. And it tastes like it has been on the stove for hours! Chicken & Sweet Potato Chili (Serves 8-10, freezes well) Ingredients: 3-4 lbs Boneless, skinless chicken thighs; trimmed 4 Cups cubes sweet potatoes (I leave the skin on) 2 Cups salsa…

  • Fall Fashion: Foliage Color Palette

Thank you so much to everyone who expressed such kind words after this week’s earlier post… it is so appreciated. Now, on a lighter note, because I have to keep the rest of this week light… I love scrolling through a new season’s fashion… Lately I have noticed that there are so many pieces that appeal to me that are the colors of Fall foliage. Not my typical color palette but all the beautiful warm tones make you think of pumpkin picking, apple cider and raking leaves. I love it all paired with denim, navy and ivory! Below find the pieces that I am loving in this foliage color palette!…

  • One Year Later.

Here I am. September 17th. What a crappy day of which to be reminded. It has been 365 days since I lost my brother. Which means it has been 366 days since I have spoken to him and 373 days since I have given him a hug. Surreal. People keep asking how I am, which is so lovely and kind. So here we go. I have learned a lot in 365 days. I am strong. Very, very strong. It doesn’t get easier per se, but the sharp pain of it all softens. I miss him every day. It is, for lack of a better word, weird. I guess the…
