FIELD + SUPPLY

Over Columbus weekend we ventured up to Kingston, New York to the FIELD + SUPPLY: A Modern Maker’s Craft Fair. I am trying to stay busy and we love finding new artists, designers and cool new things (obviously). This activity checked all the boxes.

First, the Hutton Brickyard is a really fantastic venue. I could see this as an awesome spot for a wedding or even a blow out birthday party… they have “Glamping”!!!

A band was playing in the background, there were lots of food offerings, craft beer and cocktails, fire pits and lively games of corn hole; it all created a festival atmosphere. There were a good amount of vendors offering a wide range of handmade custom products; see my favorites below!

My favorite brand, and from which I bought a bunch of gifts, was So Handmade.  She makes high quality creative gifts for kids. I loved each piece! The Dinosaur Playmat and Adventurer’s Notebook were my favorite! Perfect toys for holiday gifts!

Another was Giles & Brother, their “Archer Cuff” shown below is officially on my wishlist!Archer Polished Cuff

Found My Animal had the greatest pet gear. I particularly love the ombre dyes below and the fact that the leashes have rings that you could move up and down to make a secure loop… especially helpful when you walk a strong dog!

There was also an good amount of incredible handmade furniture, true show-stoppers!

FN Furniture was really interesting. The creator, Ken Landauer (“Chairperson”- he was funny too!), saw so much waste happening in the industry. He wants to “make the most with the least”. He creates his furniture like puzzle pieces, using 95-100% of each sheet of plywood to create his designs. Really ingenious!

The last favorite was Jay Teske Leather Co., they had the most amazing leather goods. Leather shelves, stair banisters,  homegoods and even beer carriers for bikes.

I would for sure make the trip back up to this fun event next Fall!

Caroline, this looks so cool. How the Hell did you ever hear about this place?
And by the way, we had a fabulous time with your Mom and Dad at the Weekapaug Inn….lots of laughs….and the food and service was surprisingly good.
So excited about the new, little, mini Thad! How happy you all must be.
