Small Business Spotlight: OMO, Jewelry & Gifts

I love supporting small local businesses, especially women owned! Let me introduce you to OMO Jewels & Gifts; tucked in the heart of Avondale on the way to Watch Hill, RI, it is the perfect gift shop.

As the former buyer for the beloved Sun Up Gallery for 20 years, Joanna took the entrepreneurial leap in 2016 and opened OMO – a celebration of her personal style, her love of color and whimsy, and her admiration of American handcrafted design.”

Walking in the front door you are greeted with a jewel box of colors and textures. A self proclaimed lover of color, Joanna has stocked her store with easy gifts, fun accessories, “wear it every day” clothing (see photos!), unique jewelry and fabulous housewares.

It is such an easy spot to pop in to grab a hostess gift (special chocolates, a gorgeous handmade ceramic platter, puzzles), baby gift (Jelly Cat stuffed friends, books and bibs), or a special treat for yourself (clothing, jewels, housewares… I could go on!).

Some of her carefully curated designers include Suzy Landa, Jamie Joseph, Paul Morelli, Frank & Eileen, Kinross Cashmere, Lisa Todd, Jill Rosenwald and Houston Llew. She is constantly searching out new and interesting merchandise for the store. 

 

 

 

 

Joanna hopes to have her online store up this Fall (https://www.omojewels.com), but in the meantime check out her Instagram where she posts updates of the fabulous in store stock . She will happily ship and also can put together custom gift baskets to send out! Perfect for a pick me up!
