• March Favorites…

Well, okay, this March was weird. No other way to explain it. We are living in the middle of a global pandemic that is unlike anything we have ever experienced before… and we are shut in our homes. No matter, I still definitely had my “favorite things” this month. I apologize if there are repeats from months past… what can I say, I didn’t get out much.     Drizly Alcohol Delivery – So, we are all trying to stay home and not venture to stores… this service is brilliant. Delivery from your local liquor stores… just like Instacart or Prime Now… but for your Tequila, Wine & mixers. A…

  • Fashion: Spring Wardrobe Update!

My closet is actually looking pretty good right now… yes, I have a few things I probably need to part with and could bulk up on some new staples (things get worn and grungy!) but I feel like I can get dressed pretty easily. I am excited for warmer weather to come so I can mix some lighter pieces to the rotation.  That said, it is always fun to have a few new special pieces to add to the mix every season! Below find some special items I have been eyeing and a  few staples I need to replenish! And a bathing suit for Spring Break. Then my closet may be…

  • Bermuda: Travel Guide Update

We love Bermuda. I have been traveling to Bermuda for vacations since I was a baby so it feels like home to me and I love that my kids now feel that way too. I published a travel guide last year that has all the important information of where to eat, where to stay and of course what to do. I am happy to report I have some great additions to add to that list! (Read the original too!) Matt and I went out for Valentine’s dinner to Barracuda Grill which I mentioned before… but I forgot just how good it is! Easily the best restaurant on the Island! Barracuda…

  • January Favorites

Oh January is always a little dull right? After all the glitter of the holidays it is a time to be quiet and stay home… and maybe get organized? I have been trying to do all those things… I have a ways to go on the organization front but I am getting there! So here are this month’s favorites… yep, 3 TV shows on that list!   Please note: A Modern Housewife LLC has affiliate relationships with multiple brands. • 2019 in the rear view, Welcome 2020!

Happy New Year! I hope you have all gotten back on track after the holiday run and are ready for 2020! I am excited to see what this year will bring and how I can continue to grow this space. Thank you so very much for all the support last year; it is invaluable! 2019 was an interesting year for me, lots of loss and lots of growth as I discussed in my post on turning 40… oh yes and I turned 40. I am happy to leave it all in the rear view and march ahead into the new decade with what I have learned. First I need to…

  • My Most Used Pots & Pans

For the past two weeks I have been part of several conversations about pots, pans and dutch ovens. Specifically, what the best ones are and what I use and love. Another friend asked me again this morning and I figured it was time for a blog post! I think it is the time of year. We are all getting ready to cook feasts for the holidays and maybe hibernate for Winter and crack open some of those cookbooks. The truth is you don’t need that many pots and pans to create amazing meals. You just need a few spectacular ones (note: not all need to be expensive!), four to be…
