• July Favorites

Hey hey, here we are half way through Summer! How is everyone doing? All a little different, but we are making sure we are still having an excellent Summer. Here are my favorites from this month!       Outdoor Movie Projector – What kid doesn’t love staying up late for an outdoor movie. This thing is awesome! Face Masks – I mean this one is obvious right? You have to wear one so let’s make it fun.  Shan Swimsuit – I actually have this in a different color but it is THE BEST swimsuit I have… so flattering, so comfortable. I feel like a million bucks in it! HBO’s…

  • June Favorites…

June is always a whirlwind with school ending and the start of Summer! All of my favorites from the month either made my life easier, just made me happy or provided a great escape of entertainment away from the news cycle! Never Have I Ever – Netflix–  Oh my gosh is this show adorable! We binged this teen coming of age comedy-drama so quickly and were so sad when it ended! Don’t miss it! Living Proof Perfect Hair Day In Shower Styler – I have fully embraced my curly hair during this quarantine (and to be honest, the heatwave) and this product really makes it so much easier to keep…

  • Week Twelve Coronavirus Hiatus & May Favorites… 2020

Week Twelve. Things are shifting. Now in this Phase One stage restaurants are offering outside dining, fitness studios are reopening as are stores slowly with restrictions in place. It feels hopeful… I think, as a family, we will continue to hibernate a little longer and dip our toes in the water with caution in the coming weeks. There is still so much unknown about the virus, particularly in children, and it seems that the information changes daily. That said, as the country was starting to reopen last week, there was a happening that is anything but hopeful. The death of a George Floyd. What happened to George Floyd and what…

  • Week Eight Coronavirus Hiatus: The Corona Kitchen File

Week EIGHT. That feels really bananas. That means, in the house, we have had weeks and weeks of cooking. Breakfast, lunch & dinner. We have only had a handful of take out nights- those nights really feel like a vacation… and we should probably do it more. We have already discussed the ins and outs of getting groceries delivered a few weeks ago… I think it has gotten easier to get everything you need delivered! (Read here: Week Five Coronavirus Hiatus: Grocery Games) I have been receiving a lot of questions about what I am cooking and pleas for ideas.  So here we go… this time has given me the…

  • April Favorites… 2020

I know I say it all the time; “Where did the month go?”. But really… where did it go? April was one very long blur. I can not believe it’s already over. Lot’s of TV, movies & books  here… because what else have we done this month? I hope everyone is hanging in during their quarantine!     White + Warren Cashmere Sweatshirt – I bought this utterly soft sweater from my favorite local shop, Fred. It’s on sale in both spots! I LOVE it. Feels put together while still so comfortable.  Defending Jacob – Apple TV – This book was actually the first book I picked for book club…

  • Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2020

I am having a hard time keeping track of days for sure… is it Tuesday or Wednesday? And forget about actual day of the month! But I did just realize that Mother’s Day is less than two weeks away! Time to get on it! I have rounded up some great gift ideas for that wonderful Mom in your life… and Moms feel free to forward this on to those that love you!      Fiddle Leaf Plant – Love the idea of pretty plant that will have a more permanent spot rather than just flowers… but you can certainly do flowers too!  Ariel Gordon Necklace – I recently discovered this…

  • Week Four Coronavirus Hiatus: Cut Yourself Some Slack

Week four, that seems really unbelievable. I read a great NY Times article last week about relaxing on the “To-Do List”; easing up on the need to feel productive. I couldn’t agree more. We have enough pressure and stress on ourselves right now, do we REALLY need to have our house in perfect order too? Learn a new language (I laughed out loud)? Or learn how to make puff pastry from scratch?   If those things relax you then by all means become multilingual and clean out every last closet. Some days cleaning helps me, some days I just want to binge watch TV after we’ve completed our eLearning because…

  • March Favorites…

Well, okay, this March was weird. No other way to explain it. We are living in the middle of a global pandemic that is unlike anything we have ever experienced before… and we are shut in our homes. No matter, I still definitely had my “favorite things” this month. I apologize if there are repeats from months past… what can I say, I didn’t get out much.     Drizly Alcohol Delivery – So, we are all trying to stay home and not venture to stores… this service is brilliant. Delivery from your local liquor stores… just like Instacart or Prime Now… but for your Tequila, Wine & mixers. A…

  • Easter Baskets

Who else feels like, “What day is it”? I know Easter is coming… and I know I need to hurry up and help the Easter Bunny make some lovely Easter Baskets for my kids. Trying to keep everything as normal as possible and Easter happens to be one of my favorite holidays! Here are a few little things for kids of all ages, parents included. And some sweet decorating items too!   Hot Chocolate on a Stick – How cute are these with the Easter Eggs on top? Jelly Cat Stuffed Frog – Because it can’t be all bunnies and he is so cute! Bitsbox – We love this kid’s coding…

  • Week Two Coronavirus Hiatus: Gratitude

Okay, here we are… rolling in to week two of this thing. It will be be a lot longer, we know that. That is OKAY. We are all OKAY. I know I have spoken about gratitude a lot in the past 18 months. The shifts that happened in my life after I lost my brother… the changes in my perspective are incredibly helpful here. This is a scary time. We are scared about what the future holds for our communities, small businesses and our country as a whole. We have to remember just how lucky we are as a small little family. My family, my immediate family & extended family,…
