  • August Favorites…

We were all over the place this month! A little bit of travel and sadly lots of fevers, infections and antibiotics! The month feels a bit like a blur and here we are back at school… where did Summer go? It was fun while it lasted! See below for what I have been loving this month and using on repeat! • Back To School…

Summer flew by. But that always happens right? One minute we are celebrating the 4th of July and then all of the sudden it is Labor Day weekend... sigh. We start next week and I am not really prepared... but everyone is still in shorts through the month of September anyways! Below find some cute pieces for kids to start the school year off right, and a little something for the adults too- we want a few new things too, right?

  • S’mores Oreo Bark

Are you looking for an easy no bake Summer (or any season!) sweet treat that both kids AND adults will love? Look no further. This recipe is the bomb.   S’mores Oreo Bark Ingredients: 3 1/2 Cups dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate pieces 1/2 Cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate pieces 1 Cup marshmallow Fluff 12 Oreos (for gluten free I like Glutino) 4 Graham Cracker Sheets (for gluten free I like Pamela’s) Instructions: Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. • Kid’s Chocolate Beet Smoothie

As the school year winds down into Summer, things tend to get a little crazy, no? Even if you don’t have kids in school it just seems like the days are short and packed. So many appointments you’re trying to wedge in before summer and all the events… it’s wonderful to have a full calendar but it leaves me short on time. I have been prepping breakfast the night before for everyone because it starts the day off right. Thad’s Banana Bread,  Morning Glory or Blender Muffins, dreamy Dark Chocolate Breakfast Pudding or smoothies- it all makes it a touch easier in the morning rush. For a smoothie you just need…

  • Boca Beach Club and What I Really Packed For Spring Break!

After our Fall and Winter we really wanted to get away for a proper Spring Break. We needed some sunshine and some relaxation and not much else. But where to go? We rely heavily on Bermuda for getaways (why wouldn’t we!) but a friend recommended The Boca Beach Club, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel, when we couldn’t find anything else that peaked our interest.  Amazingly they had availability and the flights into West Palm Beach weren’t astronomical when we went to book… only two weeks ahead. Sold. What was appealing about the property is it is actually three hotels under one umbrella. You have access to the restaurants and activities at…

  • My Own Magic Green Sauce

Okay, a Pinch Of Yum’s 5 Minute Magic Green Sauce is really… well… magical. I love it and would put it on anything and everything (make it, really!)… BUT, my oldest has a sensitivity to pistachios and parsley (I know, so odd) and has a really awful reaction… so it doesn’t work for family dinner. And actually, neither does the jalapeño… This means I needed to make my own version of this sauce that is friendly to my house, and my kids gobbled it up! My Own Magic Green Sauce   Ingredients:  2 Bunches of cilantro cleaned and rough chopped (stems too!) 1 Medium/large avocado or 2 small avocados 1/2…

  • Honey Orange Buckwheat Pancakes

We recently went into the city to see The Warhol Exhibit before it left The Whitney. Being an Art History major in college I was thrilled to get to see it… I wrote my senior thesis on comparing and contrasting Warhol and Pollock. I digress… the kids seemed to enjoy it and I was thrilled when my oldest brought up one of the pieces toward the end of the next week; “Mom, do you think I could do a self portrait like the green one… we could set it up like…”.   But what they REALLY enjoyed was the lunch we grabbed after. We found a little gem called The…
