I love Food52. The website is so well curated and their shop is chock full of amazing things. I was perusing it the other day and saw lots of good items to make summer a little better (aka easier!). See below for items I have and love or things I wouldn’t mind adding to my collection! Click on item name to shop!  Stackable Bodega Glasses – We have the short ones and use them for wine, ice cream sundaes, burger bar condiments and side salads. They work for everything. • Strawberry Orange Breakfast Cake

The local market here has a table tucked in the back for “last chance” fruits and vegetables. Very (VERY) ripe fruit and on their way out vegetables- perfect for baking (or soup making in the winter). The other day they had strawberries for $0.99 so I knew I needed to bake something! Cookie & Kate has a recipe for Lemony Blueberry Cake in her cookbook that I’ve been dying to try but my kids are still anti blueberry. In come the over ripe strawberries! This is a direct adaptation of her recipe just swapping out the flavors a bit. I felt like orange would go better with strawberries than lemon!…

  • May Favorites…

May is all about getting ready for summer right? Or at least getting my closet ready for summer. I have been on a major purge lately getting rid of things we don’t love or use anymore (read HERE), and my closet has been hit hard (more on that in a future post!)… so I need some fun replacements! Also, have been on a reading tear, I even got to meet the lovely sisters behind the Liv Constantine hit The Last Mrs. Parrish, #12 on the list! Without further ado… my May favorites! Click on item name to shop! Shoshanna Tinsley Dress – I tried this on on a whim and…

  • Getting It Together: Kitchen Organization

I should maybe have titled this post “Grief Made Me Want To Throw Out Everything In My House”… An interesting byproduct of the grieving process (for me) has been the overwhelming urge to purge and organize. I understand it is a control thing. When you have your life shift so violently and lose someone that important so suddenly you are put in a place where you are grasping to have control of something. “What can I control?” Well, I can certainly control how my house looks, how we live in it, how we use it and what we are surrounded by. Also what I wear, because let’s face it, that…

  • April Favorites…

Can you believe it is the end of April? I find that when we have school vacation break mid month the time just flies by… lots of travel, lots of plans and lots of sunshine! Check out what I have been loving this month below! Click on name of item to shop!  Sundry Maritime Striped Tee – This long sleeve is my new uniform that I have been wearing on repeat (with #3 & #5)- the perfect slightly slouchy tee with a fun stripe detail down the side. Best part is it is 100% cotton! Vitamix – This again… but I have been using it on repeat, two to three…

  • March Favorites…

I can not believe it is the end of March. The temperature is actually starting to rise. The birds are chirping,  the flowers are trying to peek out and Spring Break is around the corner! I am pumped to open the windows and let the fresh air in! This month was chock full of fevers, viruses, bugs and antibiotics for this household. It stunk. So this month’s favorites have a bit of homebody/kids undertone!   (Click on item name to shop!) 1. Escape This Book! Titanic by Bill Doyle and Sarah Sax – My 2nd grader DEVOURED this book. It has different paths you can take to get to the end…

  • Holiday Gift Guide #5 – The Gourmet

So this is an easy one… all the best things for “the gourmet”. If you have a loved one who adores being in the kitchen this is the list for you! These are all my favorites or things that are on my want list!   Click on item name to shop!  Instant Pot Duo 80 – Okay. Obviously this is on here. It should be on every gift guide I put together because I love it so much (Same with #2). If you don’t have one in your kitchen you should. It is a miracle appliance! Vitamix Professional Series Blender – Same as above… I use this all the time.…

  • Food 52 Shop

Normally I am scanning through Food52.com for all the amazing recipes. Once in a while I will scroll through their shop section. It never fails to make me want to completely redo my entire kitchen, overhaul my cabinets and set a perfect tabletop for a midweek meal. It is such a well curated space, it is inspiring. With the next round of holidays coming up (Easter & Passover are the perfect time to bring out your best for family gatherings) I wanted to share a few items I have and love and what I currently have my eye on from Food52.com. Copper & Brass Louise Trays – These are just so…

  • Thrive Market Review

Who out there has tried Thrive Market yet? I swear I signed up for an account over a year ago and never ordered. Something about membership fees always gets me. Yes, it is like Costco, but I always hesitate. I did the same thing with Beachbody. I waited forever and we all know how that turned out. So, my advice to you is DO IT. Don’t wait like I did. I think it may just be the best online source out there for natural and organic products! My first box arrived this weekend and it was packed perfectly. Glass jars intact, delicate pasta noodles still perfectly whole in their box,…
