• Week Twelve Coronavirus Hiatus & May Favorites… 2020

Week Twelve. Things are shifting. Now in this Phase One stage restaurants are offering outside dining, fitness studios are reopening as are stores slowly with restrictions in place. It feels hopeful… I think, as a family, we will continue to hibernate a little longer and dip our toes in the water with caution in the coming weeks. There is still so much unknown about the virus, particularly in children, and it seems that the information changes daily. That said, as the country was starting to reopen last week, there was a happening that is anything but hopeful. The death of a George Floyd. What happened to George Floyd and what…

  • The White Tee Shirt

Ah, the white tee shirt. Much like a pair of jeans (or denim cutoffs), it can be hard to find a good one. You don’t want it to be see-through, but also don’t want it to be too thick. Slightly slouchy, soft and definitely comfortable; that is what you want! I did a round up of a few white tees that I have and love and also ones that look like they would be great! I just ordered two new white tees from Everlane (#1) and am super impressed with the quality and the fit! I also love #2 from Lululemon. I don’t have this exact Gap tee (#5), but…

  • Easy Cotton Dresses

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! I always consider this the kick off of Summer, although this looks quite different for us this year. This will be the first Memorial Day in a very long time I won’t be spending it in RI with family and friends. Bizarre and a real bummer! Regardless, we are still going to make it a fantastic low key weekend here. The kick off of Summer has me thinking more and more about my summer closet (and packing for the big trip to RI) and what I really want to be wearing on those hot Summer days. Cotton. I’ve become pickier about fabrics, and the Summer definitely…

  • Week Nine Coronavirus Hiatus: Warmer Weather At Home Fashion

Alright. Let’s be honest. Who thought this was going to last this long? And even when the Stay At Home orders are lifted, life isn’t going back to “normal”. Those gorgeous Spring dresses in my closet aren’t going out to dinner. That said, the weather is changing, and sometimes something as little as new pair of shorts can lift one’s spirit. Make you feel fresh. So as we head into Week Nine I don’t have any great words of wisdom (I ran out of those weeks ago) but I do have some fun new picks for warm weather casual at home fashion. (Say that five times fast). That means cotton,…

  • The Best Little Knit Blazer Styled 3 Ways

I purchased this little J Crew knit blazer this Spring and adore it! It seems to go with everything, is light enough that I don’t get hot but it also keeps me warm on chilly days. The original pink that I have is sold out in a few sizes but the camel is a great option and available in sizes xxxs-3x; so I will use that color to style the blazer into three different outfits! This jumpsuit was such a happy little surprise! I went into Lou and Gray for sweatpants (also awesome) and this jumpsuit was in the dressing room so I HAD to try it on. It all starts with this Lou & Gray Plush Crossover Jumpsuit!   Perfect daytime look for running all the errands, lunch out or heading to the office.   Gap Denim Jacket – A total classic. • Fall Fashion: Foliage Color Palette

Thank you so much to everyone who expressed such kind words after this week’s earlier post… it is so appreciated. Now, on a lighter note, because I have to keep the rest of this week light… I love scrolling through a new season’s fashion… Lately I have noticed that there are so many pieces that appeal to me that are the colors of Fall foliage. Not my typical color palette but all the beautiful warm tones make you think of pumpkin picking, apple cider and raking leaves. I love it all paired with denim, navy and ivory! Below find the pieces that I am loving in this foliage color palette!…

I pair mine with sandals while it is still warm and will move on to flats and sneakers and then booties with tights/leggings. There are some great options out there… some high end and very excitingly some really cute options for under $100! • Back To School…

Summer flew by. But that always happens right? One minute we are celebrating the 4th of July and then all of the sudden it is Labor Day weekend... sigh. We start next week and I am not really prepared... but everyone is still in shorts through the month of September anyways! Below find some cute pieces for kids to start the school year off right, and a little something for the adults too- we want a few new things too, right?
