  • I need to walk and it’s getting cold…

This grieving thing is a tricky business. I recently read a particularly poignant article on A Cup Of Jo by the incredible Nora McInerny about grief and lipstick. Really, go read it. It totally explains why I feel the need to blow my hair dry and put on jeans instead of my uniform workout gear. She touched on a point that resonated with me (she lost her husband to brain cancer), she would soon be older than her husband ever was. I have never known a world without my big brothers. They have always looked out for me, their little sister. I now have to go on and live the rest of my…

  • What to wear for Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving has always been a favorite holiday in my family. This year we will be having a very low key family filled Thanksgiving and remembering what we are grateful for in this life. I am sure I will be wearing something comfortable and casual… but dressing up is fun too! It is only two weeks away so here are some ideas of what to wear when gathering for the holiday. The mixing of textures and fabrics is the key for these outfits. Velvet is so hot right now and give me a chunky knit any day! I also have a handful of friends heading to warmer climates for the holiday…

  • Yoga Gear Refresh

After four weeks of weight training and a full week in Nantucket my body needs a break! I dialed up a practice yesterday morning with one of my favorite apps, Yoga Glo (Beachbody has some awesome streaming practices too!), and it was glorious! It reminded me just how much I need balance in my workouts. I tend to get focused and concentrate on one program but really I need weights, cardio, AND yoga to feel my best. I also realized I REALLY need to get some new yoga duds. I am constantly in workout gear, so obviously I like it to be polished enough to wear out for errands… Which…

  • My July Uniform: What I am wearing on repeat…

How is already midway through July? Time is flying! I have been quite quiet as we’ve been spending lots of time with family and to be honest I have been away from my computer, phone and social media; it has been fantastic! I love that aspect of summer! I truly unplug. I have noticed in this lazy days of summer that I have a bit of a uniform, pieces that I just continuously grab to wear. They are all cool, comfortable and easy to throw on and still looked put together. Perfect for these hot summer days! Click on the link in description to check them out!     Roberta…

  • Point Sur X J. Crew

My apologies for being behind on blog posts. While I am working out this SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth… lovely. I will do a post on it in the future)  with Low FODMAPS diet situation, my meals have been boring, redundant and not always that colorful… I have not had any inspirations for new recipes as of late. That said, I am actually excited to have been diagnosed with SIBO (yesterday!) so I can move on with treatment and get back to cooking! The other thing that has been all consuming, although exciting and fun, is our house renovation. I  have spent so much time looking at tile, lighting, paint…

  • What I pack for a trip!

I got a bunch of messages from you lovely people asking what goes into my suitcase for a trip after my Travel post focused on my carry on and what I wear on the flight. Since I try and keep my bag for the plane on the smaller side I  keep it streamlined, stick with the basics and make sure every item can be worn together! These are pieces I have (or are similar to what I bought long ago) and love. These outfits have taken me to California, Colorado, Bermuda, Tennessee and beyond, so not just a tropical getaway! Lou & Grey Signature Soft Dress – I have the short…
