• Brown Butter Cereal Bars

Looking to make something super easy, super satisfying and probably already have everything in your kitchen?  I got you! These are upgraded “Krispie” treats with decadent browned butter and a touch of salt. You can really use any plain cereal here… Chex, Cheerios, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes etc etc. I’d stay away from fruit flavored cereals, but chocolate would work! Last time we made this we used a combo of Cheerios and Rice Chex!

  • Wild Rice Salad

I posted a photo on my Instagram Stories the other day of an old school Wild Rice Salad that I have made for YEARS. My DM inbox blew up with requests for the recipe. Okay, people love wild rice! Honestly, it is difficult to write this one up because I don’t measure for this one. I just make it with what I have around and taste as I go. The good news is it means this recipe is VERY flexible. A wild rice blend, artichoke hearts, vinaigrette and mayo (yes, mayonnaise- I know this can be a polarizing ingredient!) are the back bone of this one! Play around with the…

  • Week Four Coronavirus Hiatus: Cut Yourself Some Slack

Week four, that seems really unbelievable. I read a great NY Times article last week about relaxing on the “To-Do List”; easing up on the need to feel productive. I couldn’t agree more. We have enough pressure and stress on ourselves right now, do we REALLY need to have our house in perfect order too? Learn a new language (I laughed out loud)? Or learn how to make puff pastry from scratch?   If those things relax you then by all means become multilingual and clean out every last closet. Some days cleaning helps me, some days I just want to binge watch TV after we’ve completed our eLearning because…

  • Cocktails: Quaranita

I came up with this one on our rocking Saturday night… I don’t care for super sweet drinks so this was perfect for me. Feel free to add a little simple syrup if desired! You can easily reduce the recipe down to one or two cocktails or save the leftover juice/tequila mixture in a mason jar in the fridge for the next night!  Also, in case you missed it in my March Favorites post; I have found a liquor delivery service that is SO EASY, and purchases from local stores! Spirits, wine and mixers! Win win. Check them out here: Drizly!

  • Week Three Corona Virus Hiatus: Let’s Move

Alright, alright, alright… here we go, week three! How is everyone doing? Stir crazy? Hanging in? I have found that a daily (okay, almost daily) dose of exercise has been doing wonders over here. I have rounded up some great sources for workouts below… and don’t forget getting outside for a walk, run, bike ride… just please keep your distance from others! If you have ever debated getting a Peloton, now is the time! It runs around $58 a month! Even if you don’t want to invest in the bike, their streaming service is awesome. Tons of additional  content ranging from yoga to weight training to boot camp. If you…

  • “Cookie Dough”

Okay… who is with me on the hunger… all… day… long? I mean it must be boredom? Stress? Right? Any which way… I keep eating chocolate chips… by the handful. But what I really wanted was cookie dough. And perhaps it would be nice if it had some redeeming qualities like healthy fats… I knew I could cobble together some kind of grain free treat with the remainder of my bag of almond flour… this frozen “cookie dough” hits the spot! Make them small so it’s just enough sweet, and don’t skip the extra tablespoon of coconut sugar at the end, it gives it that small crunch that real cookie…

  • Graham Toffee Candy

Graham crackers smothered in vanilla toffee & dark chocolate with a sprinkle of pecans… I really struggled to name this recipe… it is not a cookie. Is it bark? Is it candy? Is it the so called “Christmas Crack”? Let’s not limit this to Christmas because it could (and should) be made all year round… so let’s call it Graham Toffee Candy! I was playing around with the “Christmas Crack” that is all over Pinterest and thought “This would taste so much better with graham crackers… and maybe pecans”.  I was right! The candy here is a ridiculously easy vanilla toffee that is divine! You could swap in butterscotch chips…

  • Baked French Toast (Gluten Free)

This recipe all started because I felt insanely wasteful throwing away the heels of a loaf of bread (usually 4 pieces!) because no one would eat them. The end of a gluten free sandwich loaf if not like scoring the end of a French baguette after all (yes, I miss a French baguette!). So I started saving the heels in the freezer… what could I make? A baked French toast seemed perfect! Honestly, you can just buy a loaf and use that… but I am saving my heels for this recipe! This recipe is written for gluten free bread which absorbs liquid differently than traditional wheat bread, if you want…

  • “Burner Juice”

I have loved celery juice now for a little over 9 months. I talked about it here, in this post. I swear to goodness it helps with digestion, clarity, my skin, my hair… which I think is all tied to gut health. I really think it has healed my gut from SIBO. I have read science behind “The Celery Juice Diet” thanks to the Anthony William books and I think it works, maybe it’s mumbo jumbo, but who cares if I feel better, right? So I have been strict, per Anthony William, about drinking straight, pure, freshly made celery juice… until we went to LA last week. I had a juice…
