• July Favorites…

My favorites this month pretty much revolve around the beach… and exercising. All things Summer. Some I have talked about before so they are old favorites but also some new finds… how had I never tried on Beyond Yoga before? Click on item name to shop!  1. Beyond Yoga Alloy Ombre Leggings – these literally yelled my name (as my sister in law proclaimed!) when I saw them and they are sooooo good and that metallic splatter detail is perfect. Uber flattering and ridiculously comfortable; also very breathable for these hot Summer work outs! 2. Beyond Yoga Alloy Ombre Double Back Bra – Okay, a little matchy matchy but I like…

  • June Favorites…

How is it the last day of June? With travel and end of school, the month zoomed by. Excited for Summer! Here is what I have been loving this month… lots of reading and warm weather gear! Click on item number to shop! Eat What You Love by Danielle Walker – Another library book that has ended up in my Amazon cart! Her latest cookbook is full of fun twists on old classics. If you are trying to work around food allergies this book is for you! Erno Laszlo Pore Cleansing Clay Mask – I have been a Laszlo devotee for YEARS. I swear by the brand. This new…

  • Boca Beach Club and What I Really Packed For Spring Break!

After our Fall and Winter we really wanted to get away for a proper Spring Break. We needed some sunshine and some relaxation and not much else. But where to go? We rely heavily on Bermuda for getaways (why wouldn’t we!) but a friend recommended The Boca Beach Club, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel, when we couldn’t find anything else that peaked our interest.  Amazingly they had availability and the flights into West Palm Beach weren’t astronomical when we went to book… only two weeks ahead. Sold. What was appealing about the property is it is actually three hotels under one umbrella. You have access to the restaurants and activities at…

  • April Favorites…

Can you believe it is the end of April? I find that when we have school vacation break mid month the time just flies by… lots of travel, lots of plans and lots of sunshine! Check out what I have been loving this month below! Click on name of item to shop!  Sundry Maritime Striped Tee – This long sleeve is my new uniform that I have been wearing on repeat (with #3 & #5)- the perfect slightly slouchy tee with a fun stripe detail down the side. Best part is it is 100% cotton! Vitamix – This again… but I have been using it on repeat, two to three…

  • March Favorites…

I can not believe it is the end of March. The temperature is actually starting to rise. The birds are chirping,  the flowers are trying to peek out and Spring Break is around the corner! I am pumped to open the windows and let the fresh air in! This month was chock full of fevers, viruses, bugs and antibiotics for this household. It stunk. So this month’s favorites have a bit of homebody/kids undertone!   (Click on item name to shop!) 1. Escape This Book! Titanic by Bill Doyle and Sarah Sax – My 2nd grader DEVOURED this book. It has different paths you can take to get to the end…

  • February Favorites…

February can be a cold bleak month… especially in the Northeast. Thankfully it’s short… and thankfully we were in Bermuda for a week of it. So February, you really weren’t so bad! Below find my favorites from this month! (Click on the link for the coordinating number to shop item!) Iota The Great Big Game in The Teeny-Weeny Tin – This is such a fun little game! Similar to Rummykub, a family favorite, and so easy to tuck in your bag for travel. The tin really is teeny! We played this all week in Bermuda; from age 4 to 77! Athleta High Neck Tie Back Tankini– Bathing Suits are hard……

  • A Week Out West

We headed out to California for Christmas break for a change of scenery this year. My other brother and his family live in Marin County (north of San Francisco) and it was the perfect choice. What to do for Christmas week in Marin County, CA? Well most of this is what to do for any week in Marin County… but there is one very special Christmas stop we went to in San Francisco that I highly recommend! What I love about being out West is the emphasis that is put on being outdoors. The playgrounds and hiking trails are honestly the best. If you have elementary or younger aged kids…

  • I need to walk and it’s getting cold…

This grieving thing is a tricky business. I recently read a particularly poignant article on A Cup Of Jo by the incredible Nora McInerny about grief and lipstick. Really, go read it. It totally explains why I feel the need to blow my hair dry and put on jeans instead of my uniform workout gear. She touched on a point that resonated with me (she lost her husband to brain cancer), she would soon be older than her husband ever was. I have never known a world without my big brothers. They have always looked out for me, their little sister. I now have to go on and live the rest of my…

  • Girls Weekend in Montauk

What could be better and more therapeutic than a weekend away with 9 of your favorite friends in the salt air? I was fortunate enough to meet a group of women shortly after moving out of NYC in a playgroup for my first born with whom I have remained incredibly close since almost day one. Talk about an incredible support system. This year was our 6th trip away together and we planned Montauk all the way back in January. We did have a bit of rain, but even the rain and grayness was perfect! We stayed at Gurney’s which is right on the beach… I mean check out my room!…
