• Summer Fashion: Amazon Finds Under $50

Has anyone else noticed that Amazon has some awesome fashion finds? And they are normally a REALLY good price? I can’t speak to the quality of everything, but almost every item I have selected here says natural fibers (cotton, linen…) so fingers crossed that’s accurate! I bought the cotton floral dress (obviously) and it really is PERFECT for a hot day or to throw on after the beach. Obsessed!     Cotton Maxi Dress – SO comfortable and just darling. I love it!  Neoprene Bag – Love this for a beach bag!  Large Sunglasses – I will always choose a large frame for sunglasses! Simple Black Maxi Dress – You…

  • Stone Fruit Sangria

I’m not a huge wine drinker anymore… and I really never drink red wine… but this Stone Fruit Sangria is something else. It is just SO GOOD. Sweet but not too sweet and oh so refreshing. Kind of like fruit punch for adults! Take advantage of the Summer fruits!

  • Summer Fashion: Workout Gear

I always pick up a few new pieces of workout gear at the start of every Summer… probably because it gets so hot and humid. I end up needing pieces that breath a little better! I am still sticking to at home and outdoor workouts for the time being… and somehow that seems hotter than being in a perfectly air conditioned studio! Find my picks below… Apparently I am very into black and white workout gear. I already bought that Lululemon tee (#3) and am obsessed and ordered in another color! And the Athleta Shorts (#2) are my all time favorites… I may need to order them in leopard! 1.…

  • Summer Salads: Prosciutto, Peach & Cucumber

Okay, let’s start a new series! Summer Salads! You all overwhelmingly confirmed (thank you!!!) that you’d love to know what is in my daily Summer salad over on Instagram and I’m happy to write a new post series! I love combining the unexpected in a salad, especially when the produce is on fire right now. For me, it’s important to always have something a little sweet, something crunchy and something with zing. And let’s not forget a homemade dressing. I try to make a jar every week so throwing together a salad is easy. I will write the recipe as one serving in my favorite melamine bowls (I have different…

  • Basil Thyme Vinaigrette

I love the start of Summer for many reasons… but one of my most favorite reasons is that my dad’s garden is abundant with lettuce. His favorite to grow is Simpson and it is SO good! There is nothing like a salad made with fresh cut lettuce. But, the dressing has to be equally as good. If you’ve been a reader for a while you know I prefer to make my own salad dressings, I think this may be my new all time favorite! Bursting with herby flavor, it is a Summer home run.

  • June Favorites…

June is always a whirlwind with school ending and the start of Summer! All of my favorites from the month either made my life easier, just made me happy or provided a great escape of entertainment away from the news cycle! Never Have I Ever – Netflix–  Oh my gosh is this show adorable! We binged this teen coming of age comedy-drama so quickly and were so sad when it ended! Don’t miss it! Living Proof Perfect Hair Day In Shower Styler – I have fully embraced my curly hair during this quarantine (and to be honest, the heatwave) and this product really makes it so much easier to keep…

  • Summer Fashion: One Piece Swimsuits

Okay! Sorry for the pause in posts, I needed a bit of a breather! Those 3+ months of Covid Quarantine really caught up with me and I just hit a wall! (I spoke about that here) It is officially Summer so let’s focus on some fun and relaxation! We are overdue here for a fashion post and swimsuits are a pivotal part of Summer fashion! Focusing on one pieces… I want something that is fashionable but still appropriate for chasing kids, building sand castles and jumping in the water! I just ordered #15 and am contemplating #4 , I have heard it is the BEST suit!    1. / 2.…

  • Week Fourteen Coronavirus Hiatus: Enough.

Week fourteen…. are we still even on a hiatus here? Everything is reopening with careful measures and we all need to adjust to a “new normal”. We will not wake up and have this be over… which I guess I sort of thought would happen when I started this post series fourteen weeks ago. So no, this isn’t a hiatus anymore; it’s the new way of being. Gosh, that’s intense. This past weekend the fatigue of the past 14 weeks of events just caught up to me – I just couldn’t do anything. I have been so focused on keeping my household afloat in every aspect… keep it running, keep…

  • Cocktails: The Summer Starter

Yesterday was our last day of school, so while not the official first day of Summer, it certainly feels like Summer has started! This is a perfect light refreshing cocktail to embrace these Summer nights. Feel free to use your liquor of choice here. I used tequila. (obviously… I always use Tequila!)

  • Father’s Day Gift Guide 2020

I think I may say this every time I compile a men’s gift guide… guys, well they can be hard to shop for. Here are some ideas for that favorite Dad in your life!   DECOMEN Multi-purpose Neck Gaiter with 10 PCS Safety Carbon Filters – My husband LOVES this for a face mask. No ear loops, no fuss, just pulls up off your neck when you need it.  “Everybody Has A Dream Down By The Sea” by Summer Strauch – Perfect print for their (maybe new) home office.
