I met the fabulous Haverhill Leach many moons ago when we worked together at Kate Spade Corporate. She was always the epitome of cool so it comes as no surprise to me that her eponymous jewelry collection is just that; cool.

She effortlessly creates necklaces, rings, earrings & bracelets that are timeless, modern and slightly edgy all at the same time. The are perfect for layering and stacking but also pretty enough to wear simply on their own. This naturally leaves me coveting many (MANY) pieces.

She has designed something for everyone which makes it easy to find the perfect piece for a Mother’s Day gift. Also… perfect for impending graduations. You can find something for that 13 year old girl and also your 88 year old grandmother. Yes, it’s that versatile!

A little background; designer, Haverhill Leach’s DNA is all about creativity. As the fifth generation of jewelry manufacturers and designers, she developed a clear understanding of the intrinsic details of design, materials, production and the value of hard work.

While studying towards her degree in Fashion Design at Syracuse and the London College of Fashion, Haverhill worked for several internationally-renowned fashion houses such as Vivienne Westwood, David Yurman, and Joseph Abboud. After graduation, Haverhill went on to become accessories designer at Kate Spade and later at Mayle.  In 2006, Haverhill launched her own line of swimwear that graced the covers and editorial pages of several fashion magazines, including Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair and Sports Illustrated.

While on her way to the hospital to have her second child, Haverhill sent off her last shipment of bikinis to happily dedicate the next three years to motherhood. It was only a matter of time until she was to unite her trade, heritage, and love of making women feel beautiful to design her first line of fine jewelry, HAVERHILL.

Haverhill lives with her husband and her two children near the sea in beautiful Rhode Island – the jewelry capital of America.

Just in time for mother’s day, Haverhill has launched, The Birthstone Collection.

I asked her what inspired her to come up with the latest collection:

“As a working mother who travels a lot, it means so much to have my loved ones represented in beautiful gemstones close to me at all times, no matter where I am. Birthstones are more than just gems—they are symbols of the people that are important to us, including ourselves. Supposedly, if you wear your own birthstone, it will bring you luck and offer healing powers in your assigned birth month.
Motherhood is no joke. The trials make the rewards that much sweeter, that much more meaningful. We each have our own stories and memories that we are collecting each day as Moms. Our new Personalized Birthstone Collection was created as a way to cherish these memories.”
I couldn’t agree more and I immediately ordered a 5 stone necklace that represents my immediate family… I’m obsessed. My kids, my husband, my brothers (and sister in law!) and my parents. How perfect is that? Orders for those custom pieces must be in by 4/28, just an FYI!

Now my other favorites… It is hard to narrow it down. I bought number #1, the Ventana Vertical ring, and love it. The perfect sweet color for summer! I also REALLY love #5, perhaps my next purchase! If I had pierced ears (I know, I know), #6 & #10 would be in my jewelry box!
